An Important Step Toward Surgical Success

If you are considering weight loss surgery, the best surgeons always require a pre-surgical psychological evaluation.  Dr. Wilbert has been in practice since 1986 and has assisted thousands of weight loss surgery patients in their efforts to achieve permanent success.  The pre-surgical evaluation helps you take steps to ensure that you are ready for surgery and prepared to succeed, since surgical success is so heavily dependent on lifelong behavioral change.  Many patients don’t relish the thought of coming to see a psychologist, but the goal is to make this part of your journey as painless as possible.

Here are some important points to consider:

·    Dr. Wilbert is in-network with most major insurance plans, including Anthem, AETNA, CIGNA, Humana, MMO, UMR, United Health Care, Medicare, and Medicaid.

·    The evaluation is usually done in one appointment typically lasting not longer than two to two and one-half hours.

·    You will receive specific feedback at the completion of the evaluation regarding results and recommendations.

·    The office is conveniently located in south Dayton with easy access to both I-75 and I-675, about one-half mile west of Southview Hospital.

·    We pledge to deliver the evaluation report by the next business day.

·    Dr. Wilbert’s wife is a successful veteran of weight loss surgery, so he is very familiar with all aspects of the surgical procedure and recovery process.

If you need additional information, or would like to schedule an appointment, please contact Dr. Wilbert at 937-435-1911 or by email.

Directions to the office:

The Mad River Station shopping center is directly across the street from JC Penney at the Dayton Mall.  Barnes & Noble Bookstore sits out front, and the main building sits off the road a bit and houses Babies R Us and Office Depot at one end.  In the middle of that building you will see a sign for “Office Entrance.”  Go in there and take the elevator to Suite 218, Associates in Clinical Psychology.
